Programs Offered

       Tackle Football - Grades 5-8
One team of 30 plays in valley league. Games held on Saturdays. Weight limits for ball carriers. Registration in late July. Season: September-October.

   Flag Football - Grades 2-5

Six week program, games played Saturdays at PHS Field. Registration in September. Season: Mid-September to early November. Punt, Pass & Kick Competition is available.

      Volleyball - Grades 5-8
Teams play area youth leagues/clubs. Mid-September practices; one weeknight game and one Saturday tournament. Registration in September. Season: September to October.

   Boys & Girls Basketball - Grades 5-8

Teams of combined grades play with area Boys & Girls Clubs.  Games held week nights in Philomath or Corvallis.  Registration in November.  Season:  January - March.

   Biddy Basketball - Grades 1-4

Teams participate in youth league with Corvallis Parks & Recreation Department.  One practice a week in Philomath.  Games played Saturday in Corvallis and Philomath. Registration in November.  Season:  January - March.

   Baseball/Softball/T-Ball - Grades K-8

 Age and skill level determine team composition.  Registration in March/April.  Season starts late May, ends mid-July.

   After-school Childcare Program/Stars

After School Childcare Program (Stars) enriched, state certified childcare is offered after-school each day at Clemens Primary School from 2:30-6:00PM and on selected in-service and vacation days. Kindergarten through 5th grade students are eligible for care.  Snacks and a planned activity are provided each day. Limited scholarships are available. Program operates in partnership with the United Way of Benton County,

  Summer Child Care/Fun in The Sun

A full day summer child care program is offered for children in kindergarten through 4th grade.  The program offers all day or half day activities including crafts, swimming, nature hikes, games and movies.  One out-of-town field trip is offered each week at an additional fee.   Clemens Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is open from after school - 6:00 p.m. , Monday-Friday for grades 4-8. This drop in facility includes table games, a covered basketball half court, ping-pong, pool, air hockey, foosball, bumper pool, video games, lounge area with a wide screen television, arts & crafts activities, snack room with vending machines and computer room with DSL connection for your homework needs.

Location – The Clubhouse is located at 421 S. 19th St. in Philomath.

Cost – Children and parents signatures are required on the registration form and must be presented at time of the first visit. Monthly attendance fees are $30.00 for June, July & August;  and $20.00 a month for the school year. A punch card for 10 visits can be purchased for $10.00 if attending 2 days or less per week. No club fee is required at this time to attend.

Deadline – The Clubhouse is a drop in club therefore there is no registration deadline, but you must re-register each school year.  Children are free to leave the premises as they choose. Please talk to your children about whether or not it is acceptable to you for them to leave the center and go to places such as area stores, restaurants or a friend’s house.

  Safety Town

Safety Town is a national program sponsored by PYAC. Safety Town is a half-day safety education program designed for children entering kindergarten in the fall 2008. Safety Town runs from Aug 18th - 22ndth with an option of a morning or afternoon session. The morning session is 9:00-12:00 p.m. with the afternoon session at 1:00-4:00 p.m. Under the guidance of a certified teacher, law enforcement officers, Safety Town staff and teen volunteers, children are introduced to all types of safety concepts necessary to keep them safe in a variety of situations as they enter the larger world. Registration for participants and teen leaders will be in May.

Location – Safety Town is held at the Clemens Primary School gym at 535 S. 19th in Philomath.

Cost – Cost is $25.00 including a t-shirt.

Deadline – Registrations will be accepted until June 9th on a first come, first serve basis. Late registrations will be accepted with a $5.00 late fee based on opening availability thereafter.
